WHAT IS THE L.A. FASHION DISTRICT? Picture blocks of wholesale fashion businesses, marts and showrooms where boutique owners and retail buyers discover merchandise and build supplier relationships. The Los Angeles Fashion District is a major West Coast fashion hub with more than 2,000 wholesale businesses. This is not one trade show under one roof—we’ll go into the district itself and learn how to source an environment many new boutique owners have heard about but have never known how to navigate.
Shontell will help you navigate suppliers, evaluate vendors and merchandise, ask better buying questions and make selections for your customer with your budget and profit in mind.

Shontell Patrice is the founder of Luxe Clothing Boutique and a 20+ year entrepreneur with nearly a decade of hands-on boutique experience. She brings real-world experience in sourcing merchandise, building assortments, pricing for profit and operating a fashion business. This experience is designed to help you learn how to think and buy like a boutique owner—not simply walk the market and shop.
MARKET ACCESS & WHAT YOUR FEE COVERS
Your registration covers your hands-on Boutique Buying Experience with Shontell Patrice—her preparation, buying education, strategy and guidance. It is not a market admission fee. Where applicable, qualified buyers register directly with the market at no charge and must meet its current business/resale credential requirements. Preparation and registration instructions will be provided before your experience.
YOUR EXPERIENCE DAY
Please reserve the majority of your selected day for this hands-on experience. Meeting time, location, what to bring and day-of details will be provided to registered participants.
TRIP PLANNING
Travel destinations are confirmed once 6 total participants are registered across the available dates. You’ll receive confirmation and travel-planning details as soon as your destination reaches enrollment. Until then, refundable or changeable travel arrangements are recommended. If a destination does not reach enrollment, you may transfer your registration to another available experience or receive a full refund.
PLEASE NOTE: Airfare, lodging, transportation, meals, merchandise purchases and personal expenses are not included.
Registration, Cancellations & Changes
Registration fees are non-refundable for participant cancellations, changes of mind or failure to attend. Registrations cannot be downgraded for a partial refund. Please confirm your selected destination, date, availability and applicable market eligibility before purchasing.
Participant-requested date changes or transfers require written approval and depend on availability. If an approved change has a lower price, the difference is not refundable; any additional amount for a higher-priced option must be agreed to before the change.
If Build a Boutique cancels your experience, or the stated minimum enrollment is not met, you may choose a full refund of your registration fee or transfer to an available experience. If we change your confirmed experience date and you cannot attend, you may choose a refund or transfer. These exceptions take priority over the participant-cancellation rule above.
Independently booked travel, lodging, transportation, merchandise and other third-party expenses are not included in registration refunds.
Earlier purchases remain subject to the terms presented when purchased. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
